Community Fire and Road Safety
In the past, the Fire and Rescue Service was seen mainly as a reactive emergency response service. Nowadays, the FRS places as much emphasis on prevention and risk reduction as it does on responding to emergency incidents. Many fire and rescue services are also doing an increasing amount of work to promote road safety.
This section examines some of the work being done in these areas and at the successes that fire and rescue services have been enjoying.
